Revolv without an e has been my freelancing label over the last 3 years, for tax purposes, and for the cool logo (thanks Ross). Under the label I continue to work on many amazing projects with very talented people. About a year ago I decided to do something I didn’t think I could, or should: make games. And so Revolv Studios became my independent game studio.
Perhaps like other independents I’m dissatisfied with where games have gone, and more so with where they haven’t. I have lofty goals in my game development which I fully expect to realize, but the two great obstacles time & money will set my pace.
Currently I’m completing development on a casual puzzle game called Hexlocked. I’m also working on the design of larger title I’m very excited about. From the concept document:
Scamper is a side-scrolling platformer set in the dangerous world of a mouse — a very real world of traps, pitfalls and natural predators — backed by a tension-filled mystery where cooperation with non-player characters becomes essential for survival.
I have plans to work on other titles with some friends, but nothing that’s ready to be announced. I’ll be keeping you posted on Revolv without an e‘s progress in game development!
