Flight Framework is now in an early beta release - I posted about it here. The project website is available at flightxd.com where you can learn more about it.

For better or worse this weblog is really the only news center for Flight Framework right now. We're in the process of getting up a separate site for Flight. I hope to have more to offer in a few weeks.

Sounds like something I am looking for. I am not satisfied with the current sets of frameworks which are out there (or they dont serve the purpose), and currently follow my own structure (started from the EMVC ). This will be something to look at. Will you be updating the release? Where should I keep a watch to get the news about Flight?

Daniel, you're remembering a component framework ... that's still under wraps (meaning it's being put off) for the moment. We still hope to get to it, but it's likely we would try and combine efforts with someone else, like Open Flux or Adobe.

Flight Framework is an architectural framework for application development. It really helps you organize your apps for reuse and expansion, as well as gives you some really nice tools that solve common development problems. For example, It has a pretty slick config library that lets you channel many sources (config.xml, flashvars, url variables) into a single point of access for your application properties.
